Privacy Policy

In short

1. Data controller

The Food Content Planner app (Android and iOS) is published by:

Julie GRIENENBERGER EI (Julie Gri)
Sole proprietorship (French micro-entreprise)
SIREN (French business number): 522 671 452
Email: contact@juliegri.fr
Website: juliegri.fr

She is the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any question or request: contact@juliegri.fr.

2. Data stored on your phone

To work, the app stores in its private storage on your device:

This data is not sent to us. It is deleted when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. If your phone’s backup is enabled (Google backup on Android, iCloud on iOS), the system may include it in that backup, depending on your device settings and Apple’s or Google’s terms.

3. Internet connections made by the app

Apart from anonymous statistics (section 9), the app only connects to the addresses it needs for what you ask it to do:

As with any website visit, these sites receive technical information (IP address, browser type). They apply their own privacy rules. The app does not add any identifier about you to these connections. Fonts are built into the app: no connection is made to Google Fonts.

4. Sharing to Instagram

When you share content, the app passes it to Instagram (or the app you choose) through your phone’s share feature, and copies the caption to the clipboard so you can paste it. Once in Instagram, Meta’s terms and privacy policy apply.

On iPhone, for a post or a reel, the app first saves the content to your photo library, then opens Instagram on it. For a story, the image or video is passed to Instagram through the clipboard. Nothing is sent to our servers.

5. Posting reminders

Reminders are scheduled directly on your phone, at the date and time you choose. They do not go through any server. You can turn them off for each item, or for the whole app in your phone’s settings.

6. Permissions

PermissionPurpose
Photos and videosChoosing the media for your content. On Android, the app uses the system picker and only accesses the files you choose.
Add to photo library (iPhone)Saving a post or reel to your photo library when you share it, so Instagram can open it. This permission does not let the app read the rest of your library.
NotificationsReminding you to post at the scheduled time.
Alarms and device start-up (Android)Triggering reminders at the scheduled time and rescheduling them after a restart.
InternetThe connections described in section 3, checking your subscription and anonymous statistics (section 9).

7. Creator subscription and RevenueCat

Payment

The subscription is purchased and paid through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details. Apple and Google process your payment under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google).

Subscription management

To know whether your subscription is active and unlock Creator features, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), acting as a processor. When you view the offer, purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives in particular:

This data is used only to manage your subscription (free trial, renewal, restoring on a new device) and to produce aggregate sales statistics. We do not enable the collection of advertising identifiers.

Legal basis: performance of the subscription contract. Retention: for the duration of your subscription, then as long as needed to meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting. Transfers outside the European Union: as RevenueCat is located in the United States, these transfers are covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses). Learn more: RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

8. Bug reports

In the app’s settings, a “Report a bug” button lets you send a message to the publisher. When you use it, the following is sent: the text you write, the Instagram username entered in the app, the app version and language, your phone model and its system version (Android or iOS). Nothing is sent until you tap “Send”.

The message is sent through Google Forms (Google, acting as a processor) and is used only to understand and fix the problem. Legal basis: your consent, given by sending the message. Retention: until the bug is fixed, and at most one year. You can ask for your messages to be deleted at contact@juliegri.fr.

9. Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which features are useful and which to improve, the app sends anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany, acting as a processor; data hosted in the European Union).

What is sent: the name of the action (for example “post created” or “share started”) and its category (format, starting point, share target), the app version, the system (iOS or Android) and its version, the phone’s language, and an identifier picked at random when the app is installed, unrelated to your identity or your phone. Never sent: your captions, photos, videos, recipe links, Instagram username or any other content. These statistics are used only to measure how the app is used: they are not combined with other data and are not used for advertising.

You can turn them off at any time in Settings > Mentions > Vie privée: nothing is sent after that. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the app’s audience to improve it, with your right to object through this setting. Retention: 25 months at most. Learn more: TelemetryDeck privacy policy.

10. What we don’t do

11. Children

The app is not intended for children under 15. The subscription requires an Apple or Google account allowed to make purchases, under those platforms’ rules.

12. Security

Data stays in the app’s private storage on your device, which other apps cannot access. Connections use HTTPS only, and content retrieved from the internet is checked and cleaned before being saved.

13. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can request access to your data, its rectification, erasure or portability, the restriction of its processing, or object to it.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (complaint form, in French), or with the authority of your country of residence.

14. Changes

This policy may change, for example when a feature is added. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. In case of a significant change, we will let you know in the app.
